Tamil Nadu CM has announced the complete Lockdown from May 24 to May 31. In this Situation, a consultation meeting for extending it would be conducted today (27.05.2021) under the direction of Chief Minister M.K Stalin.
The government is taking a variety of steps to prevent the spread of corona infection in Tamil Nadu. Stalin’s initiation as Chief Minister was subjected to a number of limitations. From May 10, a full curfew was imposed. However, unlike last year, this time a number of concessions were made. Shops providing necessities were allowed to open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. There were also more butcher shops open.
As a result, like the rest of the curfew, there was a lot of public movement. As a result, the disease remained uncontrollable. Every day, almost 35,000 new infections were reported. The number of casualties has grown. In consultation with them, the Chief Minister authorised the imposition of a complete curfew for a week beginning May 24 with no exceptions. As a result, only pharmacies and hostels are permitted to open.
Those who go outside unnecessarily are penalised, and their vehicles are taken away. Police are keeping a close eye on the situation. As a result, for the past few days, the number of victims has been decreasing. The whole curfew, according to doctors, will be effective. They also urged that the time limit be increased. Today, Chief Minister MK Stalin is set to hold important consultations in this regard.
According to reports, discussions are ongoing to extend the current curfew. At 11 a.m., the Chief Minister will meet with medical, revenue, public, and police officials for consultations. While corona distribution is decreasing in the main city of Chennai, it is expanding in other areas. It’s worth noting that the Chief Minister said yesterday during a press conference that the curfew would be extended for another week if needed.
