M.K. Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, officially opened the facility in the presence of top State Authorities at Ozone Techno Park in Chennai. On Tuesday, Cognizant announced the opening of its newest facility in Chennai, measuring 600,000 square feet and accommodating over 5000 workers.

According to the corporation, this sharpens Cognizant’s focus on a hybrid work model in Tamil Nadu, where it has over 81,000 employees, the majority of whom are situated in Chennai and Coimbatore.

Cognizant was established in Tamil Nadu in 1994, and it first started out with 50 employees in Chennai. He continued by saying that the corporation places a lot of emphasis on hiring recent grads and that their goal for this year is to hire 50,000 freshmen as opposed to last year’s 33,000 college graduates.
