Again a Huge Lay Off in American Tech Firm – Cisco Fired Over 4,000 Employees!! Cisco Systems, Inc is an American-based multinational digital communications technology company. This company has planned to lay off around 4,000 employees, about 5 percent of its total workforce amid the process of rebalancing.
Cisco has approximately 83,000 employees worldwide. This now joins with other US companies with these layoffs. Cisco Chairman and CEO Chuck Robbins have yet to make any announcement regarding the layoffs. However, Cisco Chief Financial Officer Scott Herren said the move was a rebalancing exercise.

“The cost-cutting move is a restructuring. Otherwise, across the board, there are areas where we want to invest more. We’re going to work hard to match the skills of our employees with the right roles for them,” he said. Meanwhile, Cisco has also partnered with other US companies like Meta and Twitter with this layoff.
