‘0’ Changes on Schedule of NEET (UG), CUET, JEE (Main)!!!  Beware of Fake News. For any of the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) competitive exams held between July and August 2022, the schedule won’t change.

NTA is holding three major entrance exams during this time: the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET-UG), the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET-UG) for medical and allied programmes, and the Joint Entrance Examination-Main (JEE-main) for engineering and architecture programmes. However, some applicants have been calling for the postponement of these exams, citing various factors such as insufficient preparation time, delayed counselling, and the start of the academic

The dates for the CUET-UG, which will be held between July 15 and August 10, were released by NTA last week. The JEE (Main) will take place from July 21 to July 30, and NEET-UG is planned for July 17. Over 9.5 lakh students have signed up for the CUET, but 18.72 lakh have signed up for the NEET.

Senior ministry of education officials have stated that none of the three exams will be postponed. They claimed that there is no need to reschedule exams this time around, unlike in 2020 and 2021 when they had to be repeatedly delayed due to the Covid waves, negatively affecting the academic calendars. Instead, they claimed that all agencies and institutions are working to restore the academic calendar to the pre-pandemic period.

On social media, candidates are calling for the suspension of all three tests, particularly NEET-UG and CUET.Since the dates were announced, there has been an increase in calls to postpone the CUET, with one candidate tweeting, “Sir, please consider our request to postpone cuet (ug) 2022, as we just finished our 12th boards.” Many topics that were dropped for the boards, general test, and language need to be covered. We require time for planning. We humbly ask that you postpone NEET, a phrase that has been popular on social media for more than two months.

A top government official urged the applicants to disregard rumours of postponements and stated, “Examinations are on schedule. For a variety of factors, pandemic was the main one that caused suspicion in the previous two academic sessions. We are trying to bring that on track and that can happen only when we conduct the exams on time. Students should not get misguided by any rumours or claims by private coaching institutes of any postponement.”
