About CSFL:

The Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Hyderabad or popularly known as CFSL, Hyderabad, was established in the Year 1967 and is one of the six Central Forensic Science Laboratories in India. CFSL is situated at Ramanthapur, which is about 9 kms from the heart of the Hyderabad City. The Laboratory is presently working under the administrative control of Directorate of Forensic Science Services, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria: 

The Maximum age limit for applying Junior Scientific Officer (Ballistics) is 56 years.  The Educational qualification for this post is Master’s Degree in Physics/ Mathematics, Forensic science with physics or mathematics as one of the subjects at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized university.  The Eligibility criteria for Junior Scientific Officer (Ballistics) post is Officers of Central/State Government holding analogous post on regular basis or with three year’s service in the PB-2 pay scale or equivalent.  The Selection Procedure is based on Deputation basis.

Pay Scale:

The Salary for Junior Scientific Officer (Ballistics) post is Rs. 9,300/- to Rs. 34,800/- with grade pay of Rs. 4,600/- (Pre-revised scale) Level-7 in Pay Matrix as per CCS (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016. The Pay Scale for Junior Scientific Officer (Ballistics) post is PB-2.
