CBSE Has Adopted the Digitally Robust Integrated Payment System- The Affiliation, Exam and Other Payment Would Be Faster and Efficient: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday announced the adoption of a dependable payment method for the administration and disbursement of different payments through the Integrated Payment System, setting the tone for payment-related digital governance in the post-pandemic world (IPS).

According to the Board, the newly created system has digitally turned a formerly manual and time-consuming method into an efficient, human-error-free system. IPS will enable automatic computations and direct bank payments of honorarium and TA/DA to the designated payee. “The IPS also enables for automated validation checks, which not only speeds up the payment process but also lowers the risk of fraudulent transactions and non-genuine disbursements,” it says.

However, it is expected that, the Affiliation Fee, Board Exam and Competitive Exam related payment will be faster. The CBSE had said that the payment procedure would take approximately six months. This was due to the fact that the procedure would be subjected to multiple manual inspections by officials. The CBSE would then transfer the money to the centre superintendents, who would subsequently release the monies to the different officials following such checks. But now the time will be saved by using this IPS.

The statement of the board contains the words “The features of the newly developed IPS are in consonance with the principles of Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) and Ease of Living (EoL), and has been implemented successfully for Affiliation Inspection Payment, Board and CTET Examination duty payments”.
