CAT Exam Notification 2022:
Leading management institutions, including IIMs, accept applications via CAT, including the Faculty of Management Studies, IITs (Management Courses), SPJIMR (Mumbai), and several prestigious private colleges.
Exam Details:
CAT 2022 will include a total of 66 questions divided across three sections: Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability. This is in accordance with the revised exam pattern established last year (QA). Both MCQs and non-MCQs will be included in the admission exam, which will be administered using a computer. The exam takes 120 minutes to complete. The CAT’s marking scheme awards three marks for each correct response while deducting one mark for each incorrect attempt.
After a five-year hiatus, IIM Ahmedabad held the entrance exam last year. If prior performance is any indication, either IIM Bangalore or IIM Lucknow may be selected to host CAT 2022 this time. CAT IIMs have been running for the previous ten years.
The CAT notification this year will be conducted on November 2022 & the notification will be released on the end of July 2022 & registration is on from August 2022. The exact dates not yet confirmed and released by the board.
