Bombay High Court Personal Assistant Selection Process 2021:

Shorthand, Typing, and Viva ­Voce examinations will be used to choose candidates. The shorthand and typing tests will each be worth 40 points, while the viva ­voce will be worth 20 points. Both the shorthand and typing tests will have a minimum passing score of 20.

The computer will be used to administer the shorthand transcription and typing test. The candidate will be eligible for the Typing Test if he or she passes the Shorthand Dictation Test. He or she would be qualified for Viva­ Voce if he or she passes the Typing Test.

The examination shall consist of the following three parts :­

PART ­I:

Dictation of two passages in English containing total 600 words for transcription to
ascertain the speed in Shorthand.

PART – II:

A passage in English containing 500 words for typing to ascertain the speed in Typing.

PART – III:

Viva ­Voce:

  • Candidates will be required to attend tests and viva­voces as and when required, at their own expense.
  • The Shorthand Dictation Test and Typing Test will be held at the relevant stations, and the Viva ­voce will be held at the Bombay High Court of Judicature.
  • The schedule and location for the applicants who qualify for the Shorthand Dictation Test, Typing Test, and Viva­ voce will be posted on the High Court’s official website. From their separate profiles, candidates can get their call letters for the Shorthand Dictation Test, Typing Test, and Viva­ voce.
  • After scrutiny of the applications, verifications of documents and testimonials produced at the time of the Viva­voce/Interview, the eligibility of the candidate who is to be called for Viva­voce/Interview based on the marks obtained by him/her in the Shorthand Dictation Test and Typing Test will be finally decided. Only those who are eligible for the Viva­voce/Interview will be able to participate.
  • Any unanticipated event/s beyond the control of the High Court may cause the recruitment process timeline to be altered. From time to time, such changes would be announced on the High Court’s official website.
  • In the event that the candidate fails to receive the call letter on their registered email account within the specified time, the High Court will not listen or hear their complaint/grievance.
  • If any correspondence is to be sent, the candidate must supply a valid email address and a registered mobile phone number.
