BEE Recruitment 2021 Details:
About BEE:
The Bureau of Energy Efficiency is an agency of the Government of India, under the Ministry of Power created in March 2002 under the provisions of the nation’s 2001 Energy Conservation Act. The agency’s function is to develop programs which will increase the conservation and efficient use of energy in India. The government has proposed to make it mandatory for certain appliances in India to have ratings by the BEE starting in January 2010. The mission of Bureau of Energy Efficiency is to “institutionalize” energy efficiency services, enable delivery mechanisms in the country and provide leadership to energy efficiency in all sectors of the country. The primary objective would be to reduce energy intensity in the economy.
Eligibility Criteria:
The Maximum Age Limit for applying Director Post is 56 years. The Educational Qualification for Director Post is Master’s degree from a recognized University in Physics or Chemistry or Energy Planning and Economics; or Bachelor degree in Engineering from a recognized University with relevant years of experience. (5 years experience in Group A in the Level 12 pay scale, 10 years experience in Group A in the Level 11 Pay scale, 15 years experience in post qualification experience in Research Institutes, Government Departments or Public Sector Undertakings, or autonomous body or any statutory body or any Industrial or development or design organization). The Selection Procedure is based on Deputation.
Desirable Qualification:
Doctorate degree in Economics or Energy Planning and Economics from a recognized University; or Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Management/ Administration or Industrial or System Management from a recognized University and possessing a certificate as energy manager or energy auditor or accreditation as accredited energy auditor based on the National Examination under the provisions of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 (52 of 2001) and overall perspective of national energy problems and policies of the Government in the field of energy and for promotion of energy efficiency and its conservation in the country.
*Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Central Government in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Pay Scale: The Salary for Director Post is Rs.1,23,100/- Rs.2,15,900/- of 7th CPC Pay Matrix. The candidate gets Level-13 Pay scale.
