BARC Stipendiary Trainees (Category – II) Exam Pattern 2021:
Stage 1:
|
Examination will consist of 50 multi choice questions(choice of 4 answers) of one hour duration in the following proportion: |

| A. Mathematics |
20 Questions |

B. Science |
20 Questions |
| C. General Awareness |
10 Questions |
|
‘3’ marks for each correct answer and ‘1’ mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. All candidates with <40% in General category and <30% in reserved category will be screened out. |

Stage 2– Advanced Test All Stage 1 candidates will be permitted to go to Stage 2 (Advance Test) in their respective trade.
- The test will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions with four possible solutions and will last two hours.
- Each correct answer will receive a ‘3’ mark, while each erroneous response will receive a ‘1’ point.
- After Stage 2, a merit list of candidates will be created based only on the results of Stage 2.

Stage 3- Skills Test:
- Candidates will be shortlisted for Stage 3 based on the Merit List established after Stage 2. (Skill Test). Candidates who pass the skill exam will be shortlisted and appointed in order of merit based on their Stage 2 scores.
- The number of candidates shortlisted for the Skill Test will be determined by the number of candidates who passed Stage 2, but will not exceed 4 to 5 times the number of vacancies in each trade.
- The Skill Test will be a yes/no situation.
