BAIF Eligibility Criteria 2021:

| Senior Scientist | a. For Disciplines other than Agriculture Engineering Subject
Candidates should have pass in Doctorate degree in relevant subject including relevant basic science with 8 years experience in the relevant subject as Scientist/ Lecturer/ Extension specialist or in an equivalent position. b. For Agricultural Engineering Discipline Candidates must have Doctorate degree in relevant engineering subject with 6 years experience as Scientist/Lecturer/ Extension specialist or in an equivalent position. |
| Subject matter specialist (home scientist) | Candidates should have possess in Master’s Degree in Home Science or equivalent qualification from recognized University |
| Programme assistant (computer) | Aspirants should pass in Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification from recognized University. |

· Professional Efficiency: The candidates will be given one dictation test in English or in Hindi at 80 w.p.m. for 10 minutes. The candidate who opts to take the test in English will be required to transcribe the matter in 50 minutes on computer and the candidates who opt to take the test in Hindi will be required to transcribe the matter in 65 minutes on computer. |

BAIF Age Limit:
- Candidates must have a Maximum Age Limit for the Post of Sr. Scientist & Head: Not more than 47 years as on closing date of application.
- Maximum Age limit for the Post of Subject Matter Specialist – Should not exceed more than 35 years as on closing date of application.
- Maximum Age limit for the Post of Programme Assistant – Should not exceed more than 30 years as on closing date of application.
- Maximum Age limit for the Post of Stenographer Gr.III: Should not exceed more than 27 years as on closing date of application.
- Maximum Age limit for the Post of Driver: Should not exceed more than 30 years as on closing date of application.
- Age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC and PwD candidates as per Government of India rules. Refer official notification for more details.
- If the last date happens tobe a Sunday or closed holiday, the next working day will be taken as crucial date. The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of application from candidates.
