Skill India announces Annual Kaushalacharya Awards
- A total of 53 trainers from diverse backgrounds including experts of World Skills Competition winners, trainers from NSTIs, ITI, JSS and trainers from reputed Corporate houses were honored at a gathering of government and industrial experts held on the occasion of Teachers’ Day by Skill India. In a bid to motivate and incentivize more trainers to join the Skill India Mission, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) today organized Kaushalacharya Samadar 2019.
President presents National Awards to 46 teachers from across the country for their exceptional contribution
- The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind presented the National Award to 46 Teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, in New Delhi. The purpose of National Awards to Teachers is to celebrate the unique contribution of some of the finest teachers in the country and to honor those teachers who through their commitment and industry have not only improved the quality of school education but also enriched the lives of their students.
President Kovind to present Swachh Bharat Mission Awards in New Delhi
- President Ram Nath Kovind will attend the Swachhata Mahotsava in New Delhi today. He will also present Awards for outstanding contribution to the journey of Swachh Bharat Mission in various categories. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the Swachh Bharat Mission on 2nd October, 2014.
17 Indian peacekeepers in South Sudan awarded medals for service
- Seventeen Indian peacekeepers deployed with the UN mission in South Sudan have been awarded medals in recognition of their service to the people in the world’s youngest country. India is among the largest troop contributing countries in the world to UN peacekeeping missions.
- As of March this year, India is the second highest troop contributor to the United Nation Missions, with 2,337 troops deployed in various countries
Naturals Homepreneur Awards 2019
- Fourteen women entrepreneurs emerged winners in the Naturals Homepreneur Awards 2019 in 12 different categories. The various categories including agriculture, arts and culture, education, healthcare and social welfare.
- These women were chosen for the awards based on the uniqueness of their business idea, the challenges, scalability, progress and revenue.
Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar and National Safety Awards for the year 2017
- Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar gave away Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar (VRP) and National Safety Awards (NSA) for the performance year 2017 in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
- The Ministry of Labour and Employment has been operating the “Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskar (VRP)” (Previously known as ShramVir National Awards) and “National Safety Awards (NSA)” since 1965
- These Award schemes are operated by the technical wing of the Ministry, namely the Directorate General Factory Advice Service & Labour Institutes (DGFASLI), Mumbai – an attached office of the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
National Geoscience Awards
- The National Geoscience Awards for the year 2018 for outstanding contributions in the field of geosciences, mining and allied areas were presented to twenty-two scientists from across the country
- Syed Wajih Ahmad Naqvi, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), received the Award for Excellence for his significant global contributions in the field of aquatic biogeochemical research.
- for her significant work in the fields of petrology, volcanology and geochemistry.
National Water Mission Awards- 2019
- NWM,Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti has initiated the ‘National Water Mission Awards’ to recognize excellence in water conservation, efficient water use and sustainable water management practices.
- Union Minister for Jal Shakti Shri Gajendra Singh Sekhawat said that water conservation along with water-harvesting and judicious and multiple use of water are key to tackle the water challenge in India.
Sardar Patel National Unity Award’ – Highest Civilian Award for contribution to Unity and Integrity of India
- Government of India has instituted the highest civilian award in the field of contribution to the unity and integrity of India, in the name of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. A notification instituting the Sardar Patel National Unity Award was issued by Ministry of Home Affairs on 20th September, 2019.
- The Award seeks to recognize notable and inspiring contributions to promote the cause of national unity and integrity and to reinforce the value of a strong and united India. The award will be announced on the occasion of the National Unity Day, i.e. the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel on 31st October.
National Tourism Awards 2017-18
- Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu presented the National Tourism Awards 2017-18 on World Tourism Day in New Delhi on September 27. A total of 76 Awards under various categories were presented.
- Best State/Union Territory for Comprehensive Development of Tourism award was won by Andhra Pradesh.
Publications Division bags nine awards in Delhi Book Fair 2019
- Publications Division has won nine awards in various categories for its participation in Delhi Book Fair 2019. These awards have been given by the Federation of Indian Publishers – the apex body of Indian publishers that organizes Delhi Book Fair
