The Government of Assam has decided to conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)-2019 for Lower Primary and Upper Primary level for the state of Assam as per the guidelines laid down by NCTE. The on-line applications are invited from the candidates having permanent residence in the state of Assam who intend to appear in Paper I (Lower Primary) and Paper II (Upper Primary) of TET. Eligibility Criteria in Assam TET 2019:
- Candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Candidate must have minimum academic and professional qualification
Educational Qualification in Assam TET 2019:
- Lower Primary TET Qualification:
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) recognized by NCTE
- Upper Primary TET Qualification:
Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed) OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed) OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A./B. Sc. Ed. Or B.A. Ed/ B. Sc. Ed OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B. Ed. (Special Education)

Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
Exam Duration: 2 ½ Hours in each Paper I & Paper II. Additional 20 minutes’ time (per hour) will be there for visually impaired candidates.
