Govt Plans to Fill 8,000 Vacancies in Schools – Important Announcement! The Assam government has planned to fill the vacancies in school with the guest teachers. On this regarding the State Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said that, due to the shortage of teachers in schools the Assam government planning to fill it with some temporary teachers. At present the government’ schools are lying 8,000 vacancies of school teachers across the state.

Considering this the government made a proposal to appoint guest teachers to the state cabinet. And the state cabinet has approved for that proposal. Meanwhile, the education department of Assam has started the initial work to appoint guest teachers in schools. The government wants to do this action with the help of alumni associations in the schools by direct interference. These alumni associations will help the students in their studies till permanent teachers are appointed.

But, after the cabinet’s approval the education department plans to appoint the guest teachers. Moreover, the department explains that, these guest teachers will not be like the contract teachers. Especially, Assam government planned to fill these 8,000 vacancies by the end of the current financial year, minister says. At present, there are around 2.4 lakh teachers who working in about 45,000 primary and 4,300 secondary schools across the state.
