Assam Govt Allows Recruitment Tests, Entrance Exams For Higher Education To Conduct Offline Mode!!!

The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) on Tuesday allowed conducting recruitment examinations in various government departments and entrance examinations for higher education (Class 10, 12) in offline mode across the state adhering to Covid-19 protocols.

The examinations should be held with 50% of the examination hall’s seating capacity or 50 candidates, whichever is lower, according to the order signed by ASDMA Chief Executive Officer G D Tripathi. In addition, no more than 200 candidates will be allowed to take examinations in a single shift at any given centre.

On production of valid admit cards, candidates taking the tests will be exempted from curfew hours, inter-district travel, and the odd-even formula of vehicular movement in metropolitan areas.

It has also come to light that there was confusion among the school authorities regarding conduct of annual examination for the elementary section (class I to VIII) and class IX of secondary section.

On July 6, the ASDMA issued guidelines for the containment of COVID-19 in both rural and urban regions across the state until further orders, stating that no meeting or gathering should take place in any open or closed locations until further orders are made. The decision to enable offline recruiting and entrance exams was made in response to requests from numerous departments, organizations, and agencies across the state.
