AP Ed.CET Notification 2020 has released. A.P. Education Common Entrance Test (AP Ed.CET-2020) for the year 2020 will be conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam for admission into B.Ed. regular course (two years duration) in the University/Government/ Aided/Un-aided/Private Colleges of Education in Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2020-21. Eligible candidates may submit their applications through online mode only, by paying the application registration and processing fee of Rs.600/-(for SC/ST Rs.400/-). The detailed information regarding eligibility, syllabus and the procedure for online submission of Applications are available at the official website. Aspirants have to submit the application form before the last date is 24th April 2020.

  1. Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for AP Ed.CET-2020. (i) The Candidates should be Indian Nationals. The Candidates should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order 1974 as subsequently amended.
  2. Candidates should have passed/appearing for final year examinations of B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./ B.C.A./B.B.M. at the time of submitting the Application for AP Ed.CET-2020. Candidates are required to produce marks memo and pass certificate at the time of admission.
  3. Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree i.e., B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./B.C.A./B.B.M and or in the Post Graduate Degree in relevant subject or 5 years integrated course in the relevant subject of methodology or any other qualification equivalent thereto. However the candidates belonging to all other reserved categories S.C, S.T., B.C. (A/B/C/D/E), and physically handicapped should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
  4. Note: The candidates who passed B.E/B.Tech (minimum of 55%), with Mathematics, Physics are eligible for admission into the Course.

Age Limit for AP Ed.CET 2020:

The candidates should have completed the age of 19 years on the 1st of July in the year in which notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit.

AP Ed.CET 2020 Mock Test:

Applicants are suggested to practice the mock tests, which are available in the official website or you can also access the from below links. It helps students to get familiarize with the mode of the online test.

Instruction for Candidates:

  1. Corrections related to (CATEGORY – 1) items will be done at CONVENER, AP Ed.CET2020 office, Subject to thorough verification of the Valid Documents and Approval by the Committee.
  2. Corrections related to (CATEGORY -2) in the Filled in Online Application From should be done by the candidate during the permitted period (28-04-2020 to 30-04-2020) only.
  3. These corrections will not be entertained in any from either at Regional Center or Test Centers or CONVENER, AP Ed.CET-2020 office.

Result Details for AP Ed.CET 2020:

Candidates will be ranked in each methodology in the order of merit on the basis of marks obtained in AP Ed.CET -2020 examination. Where there is a tie in total marks, Part-C marks will be taken into account to decide relative ranking. In case of further tie, the marks obtained in Part-A will be taken into account to decide relative ranking. In case of candidates getting equal marks in each of the parts of the test paper, they shall be bracketed for the purpose of award of rank. At the time of admission into the course, age shall be taken into consideration for relative ranking among the bracketed candidates and the older candidates shall be given priority. The rank obtained in AP Ed.CET-2020 is valid for entry into B.Ed. course for the academic year 2020-2021 only.

AP Ed.CET 2020 Syllabus Details:

PART-A: GENERAL ENGLISH

  1. Reading Comprehension.
  2. Correction of Sentences, Articles, Prepositions, Tenses, Spelling.
  3. Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms.
  4. Transformation of Sentences – Simple, Compound and Complex. Voices, Direct Speech and Indirect Speech.

PART-B: GENERAL KNOWLEDGE & TEACHING APTITUDE:

  1. Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general knowledge of the environment around him and its application to society.
  2. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific outlook as is expected of an educated person.
  3. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring Countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Ecology, Economics, General Policy and Scientific Research.
  4. Teaching requires certain characteristics like ability to communicate, ability to deal with Children, ability to recognize individual differences etc., apart from analytical thinking and general intelligence. One who has these characteristics will be able to become a good teacher after training. Questions relating to these aspects will be included to test one’s teaching aptitude.

PART-C: One of the following subjects to be opted:

  1. Mathematics (MS)
  2. Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) (PS)
  3. Biological Sciences (Botany and Zoology) (BS)
  4. Social Studies (Geography, History, Civics and Economics) (SS) (For these four subjects Syllabus shall be of graduation level (revised common core degree syllabus)
  5. English [Special English in B.A.]
