Educational Qualification
The applicant must possess minimum qualification Intermediate from any recognised Board or examination equivalent thereto.
Age Limit
The applicant should not be less than 21 years of age as 31.5.2020.
Examination Fee
Candidates of General and O.B.C. category will have to pay Rs. 150/- as examination fee and the candidate belonging to S.C./S.T. category of Uttar Pradesh will pay Rs. 100/- as examination fee. The fee will be payable through crossed Bank Draft in the favour of the Registrar General, High Court of Judicature at Allahabad. This fee is in addition to the cost of examination form.
Selection Process
The written examination shall be held on the following subject
- General English
- General Hindi.
- General Procedure including question of Rules of Court, 1952 and Court Fee Act.
- Maintenance of accounts.
The examination will be held in a single day and question paper will be solved in time allotted.
How to Apply?
Application for appearing in the examination for preparation of panel of Candidates under Rule 7 of the Allahabad High Court Advocates’ Clerks (Registration and Conduct) Rules, 1997 for the year 2020 are invited. Persons desirous of seeking registration as Advocate’s Clerk may apply to the Competent Authority on prescribed proforma available on payment of Rs. 20/-. This amount does not include examination fee. The candidate must not be less than 21 years of age on 31.5.2020 and he must have passed intermediate or equivalent exam thereto. He should have proficiency in Hindi and English Languages.
The Competent Authority will hold an examination as provided in the aforesaid Rules for empanelment of Advocate’s Clerk. Application Forms will be available w.e.f. 20.08.2020 to 29.08.2020, timing 10:30 AM to 01:00 PM, at Counter of Pass Office opposite to Allahabad Bank (Presently Indian Bank). Application Forms dully filled by the applicants will be accepted at Counter of Pass Office opposite to Allahabad Bank (Presently Indian Bank) between period of 20.08.2020 to 01.09.2020, timing 10:30 AM to 01:00 PM. Forms received after this date shall not be entertained. Mere empanelment will not entitle a candidate/applicant for any employment in the service of the High Court or for any remuneration from any Advocate unless he is engaged by any Advocate as Clerk
