Abhinandhan Varthaman: Man who struggled as Pakistani captive gets awarded Vir Chakra!!

 Abhinandan Varthaman VrC (Vir Chakra) captain of an Indian Air Force pilot. He got awarded with Vir Chakra, an Indian wartime military bravery award presented for acts of conspicuous gallantry in the presence of the enemy on the war area and is third in precedence in the period of battle gallantry awards and comes after the Param Vir Chakra and Maha Vir Chakra. The award given by the Indian government to Abinandhan Varthaman for the shooting down of a PAF F -16 with his MiG-21 Bison, however this claim has been disputed by Pakistan and independent sources. After that he was captured as a captive for 60 hours by Pakistan’s.

At that time of the battle the Pakistan military released the video that has showing the photography of Abhinandan being rescued from a violent mob of villagers by its soldiers, receiving first aid and being questioned while blindfolded Pakistan decided on 28 February 2019 to release him. He returned to India at wagah on 1 March 2019. His distinctive style of moustache also gained massive popularity in the media following the incident. He was promoted to the rank of group captain from the rank of air force commander on November, 2021.

Abhinandhan was born in Tamilnadu at 1983. He belongs to a Tamil Jain family.  His family stayed at Thirupanamnoor near Kanchipuram. His father is a retired Indian Air Force (IAF) Air Marshal and his mother served as a doctor.  Now He get awarded the Vir Chakra by president of India Mr. Ram Nath Kovind for his victory against Pakistan in February 2019.
