WBPSC ICDS Supervisor Selection Process: 

Selection will be based on Written Examination & Viva- Voce Test. The examination will be held in three Parts, viz. (i) PART- I : Preliminary Screening Test (Objective Multiple Choice Question) (ii) PART- II : Written Examination (Conventional Type) followed by (iii) PART- III : Viva- Voce Test.

WBPSC Supervisor Exam Pattern 2021:

PART- I: Preliminary Exam Pattern

• Preliminary Screening Test (Objective Multiple Choice Question) : 100 Marks
• This OMR based Test will carry 100 marks having 100 questions of 1 (one) marks each comprising of Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions.

PART- II: Mains Exam Pattern

• Written Examination (Conventional Type): 400 marks.
• A selective no of candidates who will qualify on the basis of merit in The Preliminary Screening Test will be called for Written Examination of 400 marks (Conventional Type).
• Type of questions : Descriptive type
• Main Exam. paper will consist of 4 different Papers which are – Paper I, Paper II, Paper III, Paper IV.

PART- II: Mains Syllabus

Paper-I : English (Class-XII Standard)

• Report Drafting
• Translation from Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali to English
• Summary/Precis Writing
• English Grammar (correct use of words, voice change, narration change, transformation of sentences, correction of sentences, use of common phrases, synonyms, antonyms)

Paper-II : Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali (Class XII Standard)

• Drafting of Report
• Translation from English to Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali
• Summary/Precis Writing
• Grammar

Paper-III : General Studies & Current Affairs (Class-X Standard)

• Life Science with special emphasis on Nutrition and Health,
• Women Empowerment Issues.
• General Knowledge (Indian History with special emphasis on Indian Freedom struggle, Geography, Environmental Science, Physical Science)
• Current Affairs
• Verbal and non-verbal reasoning

Paper-IV : Arithmetic (Class-X Standard)

• Arithmetic

Language of the Exam:

• Answer for Paper-III – Either in English or in Bengali
• Answer for Paper-IV – Either in English or in Bengali
