Indian Banks Association (IBA) has said that it is considering the Bank’s union demand which states 5 day work week for its employees. The bank union demanded a five-day workweek and made this obligation to Indian Bank Association; the association is considering the demand and discussing it with the officials.
The reports said that the association has also planning to increase the working hours by 50 minutes in addition to the working days of the week. According to the source, the association has planned to bring this scheme as soon as possible. The General Secretary of the All Bank Officers’ Association Mr. S. Nagarajan said that the government will soon notify about all Saturdays as a holiday under section 25 of the Negotiable instruments act.
