According to a recent report, women working in the IT sector have lost their jobs between January and June 2021, compared to 2020. About 40 percent of them are non-managerial level and 20 per cent are managerial and corporate executive level employees that report said.

Some companies conducted a survey with the title of Best Companies for Women in India Report-2021. The survey found that the attrition rate was higher in the IT / ITES (information technology enabled services) sectors.
As per the survey report, the number of female employees in the IT sector increased by 10% in 2016. Their number will increase to 34.5% by 2021. But the exceptional increase in the number of female employees to 4.34 percent between 2020 and 2021 is troubling the IT sector. In the IT / ITES sector, the preference for women has increased from 31 percent in 2020 to 32.3 per cent in 2021.
