The Jharkhand cabinet also approved 36 crore for the free distribution of five kilogrammes of food to PradhanMantriGaribKalyan Anna Yojan beneficiaries from April to September 2022. The state also approved the creation of 87 teaching positions at degree-granting institutions and 1,990 positions for medical officers and paramedics at 134 newly established primary health centres. For elementary and middle schools in the state, the Jharkhand cabinet has sanctioned the development of almost 50,000 Assistant Teacher jobs. The State Cabinet, presided over by Chief Minister HemantSoren, also approved the creation of 1,990 positions for medical officers and paramedics at the newly established 134 primary health clinics in addition to 87 teaching positions at degree-granting institutions.

“The cabinet has approved the creation of 20,825 jobs of graduate-trained sahayakacharyas for middle schools and 29,175 posts of intermediate-trained sahayakacharyas for elementary schools to boost the education sector in the state,” Cabinet secretary VandanaDadel said. Additionally, the state has given permission for the state Transport Department to work with IIT Madras as its technical partner in researching and developing standard operating procedures to lower road accidents in the state.

The Jharkhand cabinet has approved spending 212 crore to build a 6.9 km ring road next to Ranchi’s BirsaMunda Airport. Additionally, it approved the sale of 1.49 acres of land in Dhanbad’sNirsa block to North Karanpura Transco Limited (NKTL) for $90.24 lakh on a 30-year lease in order to build a 400/220 KV substation. Additionally, the cabinet approved spending 36 crore for the free distribution of five kilogrammes of food to PradhanMantriGaribKalyan Anna Yojana recipients from April to September 2022 (PMGKY). The maximum number of beneficiaries under the Jharkhand State Food Security Scheme has also been increased by the state cabinet from 15 lakh to 20 lakh.
