To Speedup Process 1st time in 15 Year, 400 posts to be filled in Maharashtra State Transport Department: In recent days, lots of new changes are happening in Maharashtra State Transport Department. Among one of them is Maharashtra’s new Motor Vehicle Act, which came effect from 1st December 2021. As per New MV act lots of responsibilities has been given to RTO employees. Due to shortage of staffs those works was not completed from new act was started to practice.
The manage this situation, Maharashtra Government is expected to hire 400 candidates to fill up Assistant Inspector, Sub Assistant Inspector and Assistant Sub Inspector level post to speed up the words. It has been 15 years since this kind of recruitment is done by Maharashtra State Transport Department.

Because of this New MV Act, RTO staff faces many difficulties to took actions because of shortage of staff. Responsibilities such as speedy driving, dangerous driving, vehicle registration, etc., are given to the officers in the level of Assistant Inspector, Sub Assistant Inspector and Assistant Sub Inspector. But, due to non-availability of employees in this category, these works is not done by time.

Due to shortage of staff in RTO offices people were getting struggle to get license, register their vehicles and do other office related works. According to new MV act to get license, the inspector level officer has to complete the process. Renewal of learning license and driving license required inspector level officer’s inception. So the recruitment process is expected to be begins soon and the process will be done by no time.
