4% DA Hike for Central Gove Employees & Pensioners – Salary up to Rs.65,000!! As the festive period is approaching across the country, DA and bonuses are being announced for government employees by Central. Accordingly, the central government increased the Dearness Allowance to 4% for its employees and pensioners. The announcement regarding the hike was made in the Union Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Now, 50 lakh central government employees and over 60 lakh pensioners will benefit from the 4% dearness allowance and dearness relief hike. The details of how much the salary of the government employees with this increase have now been released. Now the total DA and DR for central government employees and pensioners is 38%. Accordingly, if the basic pay or pension of an employee is Rs.25000, Rs.8,500 will be given as DA at the rate of 38%.

Out of this, the DA increases by Rs.1000. Similarly, government employees whose basic pay is Rs 35,000 will get DA of Rs.13,300 through 38% DA. It will be up to Rs.1400 according to the 38 percent of DA. Also, Rs.45000 is the basic pay of employees who will get Rs.17100 as DA. Out of this, the increase in the discount rate goes up to Rs.1800. If the basic pay is Rs.55,000, Rs 20,900 will be available as DA. If the basic pay is Rs.65,000, Rs.24,700 will be available as DA. That means Rs 2600 increase as per the hike.
