During the Question Hour in Lok Sabha, Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Prakash said that, “The Union Government has 320 mobile phones under the Information Technology Act for national security.” Union Home Minister said that, “There are 4,926 foreigners in various jails in India. 1,140 of them are convicted prisoners”. A maximum of 1,295 foreign prisoners are lodged in West Bengal jails. He said most of the detainees were from Bangladesh.
