Bengal govt employees to get 22 Holidays for Durga Puja – CM Announced!!! The Government of West Bengal has announced 22 days of holiday for Government Employees. Which means, that all government employees in the state of West Bengal will be given 22 days holiday during the month of Durga Puja.
The government has given permission to conduct Durga Puja for this year after two years of Covid restrictions. So, the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced that all state government offices will be closed for 11 days from September 30 (Panjami) to October 10 (the day after Lakshmi Puja).
Apart from this, this year the clubs organizing pujas each will be given as Rs. 60,000 subsidy, the government said. This amount was given as Rs. 50,000 till the last year. In the last year the government had given 16 days holiday on the occasion of Durga Puja festival. This year the number of holidays has been increased to 22.
