For the Last 6 Days 1 lakh Jobs Created in Rajasthan – Official Said!! In the past six days, one lakh people have been given job opportunities in the state of Rajasthan under Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme. An official said that the number of beneficiaries is increasing as the scheme gives a boost to the poor people in urban areas.
It is reported that jobs have been given to more than 2.45 lakh families with the names of 3 lakh 83 thousand 639 people under this scheme. Now provision is made to pay Rs.259 per day to an unskilled laborer working under the MGNREGA scheme. Similarly, a skilled worker will be paid Rs.283 per day and this amount will be paid directly into the workers’ bank account within a specified period, a government official said.
Local Government Department Secretary Jogaram said that within six days of the launch of this project, employment has been provided to around one lakh people. Earlier, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had announced the MGNREGA scheme during the state budget to provide 100 days of employment to families in urban areas. Accordingly, people between the age group of 18 to 60 years are eligible under this scheme. The state government has earmarked around Rs.800 crore for this project.
